Selection Techniques and Key Indicators for Pre-coated Color Galvanized Steel Sheets
Time:2025-09-05
Rational selection is crucial to maximizing the performance of pre-coated color galvanized steel sheets, requiring focus on three key indicators: environment, coating, and substrate.
Coating Selection Based on Environment:
  • PE coating for ordinary indoor environments

  • SMP coating for outdoor non-corrosive environments

  • HDP coating for industrial buildings or moderately corrosive environments

  • PVDF coating as the priority choice for harsh environments like coastal areas and snowy regions

Substrate Considerations:
  • Confirm galvanized layer weight: 120g/㎡ for general scenarios; 150g/㎡ or higher recommended for severely corrosive environments

  • Steel grade selection based on load requirements: DX51D+Z (ordinary grade) or S350GD+AZ (high-strength grade)

Other Key Indicators:
  • Coating thickness (topcoat ≥20μm for better durability)

  • Salt spray resistance time

  • Aging resistance time

  • Manufacturer's quality guarantee period

Processing Requirements:
  • Confirm bending performance and surface flatness of the sheets to ensure compatibility with subsequent production processes.
