Selection Techniques and Usage Precautions for Composite Stainless Steel Plates
Time:2025-10-10
Rational selection and standardized usage are crucial for maximizing the performance of composite stainless steel plates. During selection, material should be matched according to the service environment: 2205 duplex stainless steel cladding is preferred for severely corrosive environments such as marine and chemical industries, while 304 stainless steel cladding is suitable for architectural decoration.
Plate thickness and cladding thickness should be determined based on working conditions: thicker base layers are required for high-pressure equipment, and increased cladding thickness is needed for corrosive environments. During usage, welding processes must be strictly controlled: matching duplex steel welding materials for cladding welding, low-hydrogen electrodes for base layer, and controlling heat input to avoid performance impacts.
Avoid prolonged use in the high-temperature brittle zone; 2205 grade products are recommended to undergo solution treatment followed by rapid cooling. For daily maintenance, regularly clean surface contaminants, prevent sharp objects from scratching the cladding, and promptly address corrosion spots to extend service life. Additionally, during storage, avoid contact with corrosive substances and maintain a dry, well-ventilated environment.
